DCA and DRI are community minded. We instill in our culture a sense of corporate citizenship. We believe that a positive culture and giving back go hand-in-hand. And our employees couldn’t agree more!

Our teams feel good about community involvement and they play an active role in selecting a charity or cause. There’s a consensus here that giving back is the right thing to do. When our teams band together, we know we can make a difference, help drive change, and strengthen our roots in the community.  We also feel that a genuine commitment to a cause is a source of personal satisfaction as well as pride in our work and where we work.

Here’s just a few photos and descriptions of what we have done in 2015 and 2016!

Race for the Place 2016:
DCA and DRI participated and raised donations for Race for the Place this year.  The event was a 5k and 1 mile race held to benefit the Gathering Place, which is a Northeast Ohio organization that provides programs and services free of charge for individuals and families touched by cancer.

Cleveland Kicks-It 2016:
DCA and DRI raised money to compete in the 7th Annual Cleveland Kicks-It tournament on June 9th.  The kickball tournament, held on Progressive Field, was a program of Flashes of Hope and raised money towards children’s cancer research.  This year, DCA and DRI were the runner-ups in the tournament.

Leprechaun Foundation of Cleveland:
Mrs. Amy Charney, Home-Economics teacher at Solon Middle School, and her class did something really special for kids with serious illnesses in area hospitals. They sewed stuffed animals with sewing kits donated by DRI and DCA.  The Leprechaun Foundation, an organization devoted to helping these children and their families, will distribute the stuffed animals.  Kudos to Mrs. Charney & Her Class!

Additionally,  DRI and DCA donated 3 large boxes of toys to be distributed by the Leprechaun Foundation of Cleveland to children in area hospitals for the 2016 holiday season.

Race for the Place 2015:
We participated in Race for the Place in 2015 to celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day.

Leprechaun Foundation of Cleveland:
Leprechaun Foundation of Cleveland is a charity that fills toy chests in Cleveland area hospitals for children who are in treatment for serious medical conditions.  In 2015, DCA and DRI together, filled 3 large boxes with a variety of toys, games, and crafts for children ages 17 and under.

Cleveland Kicks-It 2015:
We played for the “Best Kickball Team in Cleveland” trophy and we were victorious in the event held to accelerate a cure for children’s cancer.
